Frequently asked questions

Are you offering remote, virtual, telehealth visits?

Yes. While I’m not seeing people in the office at this time, I am able to offer virtual (remote) appointments using a secure telehealth platform. Please contact me to learn more.

What is therapy?

Therapy is a way of learning more about yourself. In working with a therapist, you will learn ways to:

  • overcome obstacles and difficulties
  • develop self-confidence and inner strength

You will learn how to move toward personal transformation by defining the small steps that lead to lasting change.

I’d like to make changes in my life, but do I need a therapist?

Many people, of course, make life changes without a therapist. But if you’re feeling conflicted, stressed, or uncertain about how to go about making changes in your life,  working with a professional may help you move forward.

What does a therapist do?

A therapist is professionally trained to assist people who wish to understand and improve their lives.

What can I expect?

As a licensed, clinically-trained social worker, I use the social work model of brief, solutions-based therapy. This method is an ideal way to approach life transformations, with:

  • a focus on a limited number of visits
  • an orientation toward concrete actions to fulfill an objective
